Welcome from the Principal
Keith Grainger - Principal
Garth Hill College serves the community of North Bracknell and surrounding areas for pupils aged 11-19.
Garth Hill is a happy and vibrant place of learning. We are proud to be a genuinely comprehensive school and offer a wide and diverse range of excellent opportunities, inside and outside the classroom, that we believe enable our young people to develop exceptionally well both academically and personally.
Success has been built upon high standards and expectations. We expect pupils to take responsibility, to work as hard as staff, always try their best, and to reflect upon, and learn from failure and success. We also expect our young people to demonstrate good behaviour, self-discipline and respect. We praise and reward good citizenship, but there are clearly understood sanctions for unacceptable conduct.
We talk about being on a journey to excellence and this means everyone in the Garth Hill community striving to be the best that they can be. Above all, we believe that anyone can achieve, and beyond expectation, with relentless dedication and commitment, tenacity and purposeful, hard work.
At Garth Hill, I feel fortunate to be part of a super team of well-qualified staff. We know why we do what we do. Working with young people is a privilege and we know our work makes a big difference to the lives of others. We have a clear direction for the education of our young people and I hope that you will read further about our vision and strategy and, importantly, our message to the pupils of Garth Hill, present and future.
We also have our own TARDIS. We do not use this to travel through time and space, but instead to enable our pupils to provide important feedback on their educational experiences. This is just one of the many innovative and exciting things happening at Garth Hill.
We look forward to welcoming you to Garth Hill and to sharing more about our journey to excellence with you.
