A level 3 vocational course is an equivalent qualification to 1 or more A-Levels. Sometimes referred to as ‘BTECs’ although that is just one of many exam boards.

Level 2 – this is a lower tier of qualification and will give the candidate a qualification that is equivalent to GCSE.

Level 2 Business Administration (Year 12)

Subject Requirements 2025 Intake - click to View

Applied Science	5-5 (Combined) / 5 (Separate).
Art	5 in either Art, Textiles or Graphics.
Biology	6-6 (Combined) / 6 (Separate). Grade 5 in English and grade 6 in Maths.
Business Studies	5 in GCSE Business (if studied). If not, 5 in English & 5 in Maths.
Business Studies (BTEC)	Pass in Level 2 Business Studies (if studied). If not, 4 in English and Maths.
Chemistry	6-6 (Combined) / 6 (Separate). Grade 5 in English & 6 in Maths.
Computer Science	6 in Computer Science (if studied). If not, 6 in Maths and Science.
English Literature	5 in English Literature + a 5 in one other essay based subject.
Film Studies	4 in English Language and Literature.
Further Maths	7 in Maths.
Geography	5 in Geography + 5-5 in Combined Science.
Health & Social Care	Level 2 Pass in Health and Social Care (if studied). If not, 4 in English & Maths.
History	5 in History + 5 in English Literature OR English Language.
Languages	6 in chosen language.
Law	5 in English Literature.
Maths	6 in Maths.
Music	5 or equivalent on performance instrument.
Media	4 in English Language and Literature.
Performing Arts	4 in Drama or a Level 2 Pass in Performing Arts. If not studied, Applicants with vocational experience (i.e. stage school), entry will be permitted after successful audition.
Photography	5 in either Art, Textiles or Graphics.
Physical Education	5 in PE + 5-5 (Combined Science) / 5 (Separate Science).
Physics	6-6 (Combined) / 6 (Separate). Grade 5 in English and grade 6 in Maths.
Politics	5 in English Literature and English Language.
Product Design	5 in D&T: Metals, Timbers, Textiles, Polymers, Systems or Paper & Boards + 5 in English and 5 in Maths.
Psychology	6 in English & Maths + 5-5 combined Science / 5 in Separate Sciences.
Religious Education	5 in Religious Studies or Citizenship.
Sociology	5 in English Language and English Literature.
Sport (BTEC)	Level 2 Pass in Health and Fitness OR 4 in GCSE PE (if studied). If not, 4 in English & Maths.
Travel and Tourism (BTEC)	Level 2 Pass in Travel and Tourism (if studied). If not, 4 in English & Maths.
