Year 7 Geography River Trip
At the end of last half term, Year 7 geography students visited Rushall Farm to take part in a day of hands-on river fieldwork. During the trip, pupils learned how to measure the width, depth, and speed of flow of a river and investigated how the velocity changes around a meander.
As well as developing their fieldwork skills, students enjoyed exploring the farm and meeting some of the animals, including the farmer’s pet sheep, “Wooliam,” and the friendly chickens.
It was a fun and educational day out and a wonderful way to end their first half term studying geography.
