Walk to School

A reminder that Friday 14 June is our ‘walk to school’ day.  As in previous years, it will be a non-uniform day to pupils who are prepared to support ‘Walk to School’ and donate at least £1 to support our causes this year.

  • Furniture and/or equipment for pupil social spaces (break, lunch etc) around the College site. The final details to be decided by the College Council.
  • A ‘Sensory Room’ for pupils.  Pupils, and in particular members of the SOSL Council, would like to create a sensory room in the Learning Support Centre to support pupils experiencing difficulties.
  • The Garth Hill Blazers are our GreenPower race team, racing against other schools in the F24 category and currently the 2nd highest rated kit car nationally. We would like to raise money to purchase professional race overalls for the team to be worn when they represent the College at future race meets.

We also hope that as many participants as possible will also decide to raise their own sponsorship.  Please do support them if you can.  I will be setting off at 5.00am to make the 11 mile walk to Garth Hill and then walk 11 miles home again at the end of the day.  A few staff may be walking even further than that!  Your support will be very much appreciated.
