TRAVEL DISRUPTION AROUND GARTH HILL COLLEGE – FROM 22 JULY

Please note that there is major works being carried out by South East Water from Monday 22 July that will affect the following roads around the college.

This is the information given to us by South East Water;

We will be using traditional trenching techniques to install a new water main. Construction work will be carried out in stages and the road will be restored to its original condition before we move on to the next stage

The first section will take place within the central reserve of Warfield Road where the road intersects with Holly Spring Lane. As a safety precaution for pedestrians, motorists and our contractor, multi-way temporary traffic lights will be used.

Once the second phase begins, in Sandy Lane, a road closure will be in place to allow us to complete this section safely.

Construction is expected to take approximately 8 weeks to complete and will take place during normal working hours, although there may be some activities at weekends.
