Rise@GHC Football Success at King’s Academy
On Tuesday 14 October, Rise@GHC organised a friendly football match at King’s Academy. Our former colleague, Mr Cable, was there to welcome us and kindly gave the team a short tour of some of the school’s facilities before leading us out onto the astro pitches.
After a good warm-up, some well-timed rolling substitutions, and even a short spell of rain, the team played brilliantly and secured a fantastic 5–2 victory! The players showed great teamwork, energy, and determination throughout the match.
Everyone had a wonderful time, and we’re hoping to arrange more fixtures with King’s Academy throughout the term, as well as a few home games at GHC.
We’re now looking forward to our next match at Heathermount in Ascot after half term.
Well done to the whole team for their great sporting spirit and an excellent result!
