Notice on Face Coverings
As an added precaution, the wearing of face coverings in communal areas will be compulsory for all students and staff on the main college site (not Rise@GHC) with effect from Thursday 10 September. This applies to areas such as corridors, Inner Link, social spaces etc. Students are also expected to wear a face covering on entering the main college site on arrival and as they leave the site on dismissal. Students may remove their face covering when eating/drinking in the restaurant or other allocated area for break/lunch (eg. restaurant terrace), but not until they are seated and ready to eat/drink.
In line with the guidance, face coverings are not necessary in classrooms and learning spaces (including PE) during the normal timetabled day. Please see the College’s guidance on face coverings for further details on storage and safe use and removal (see College’s website).
We apologise for the short notice. We appreciate that some parents may need one or two days to source a face covering for their son/daughter. Please do not hesitate to contact the College if you experience difficulty in sourcing a face covering so that we can help. Please also contact the College if your child is exempt from wearing a face covering for health reasons. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
