Mental Health Awareness Week (13-19 May)

Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week (13 -19 May). We intend to use the week to raise the profile of the mental health support services available to all of our community, as well as raise funds to support Youthline.

The College has worked closely with Youthline, a charity organisation which operates in the local area, for many years and many of our pupils have benefitted from their counselling services. They have signed up to the Kind2Mind campaign which means that funders will match every £1 raised by schools during this week.

To support them in providing essential counselling services, which make a tangible difference to the lives of many young people, next week the following activities will take place on Friday 17 May:

Wear Yellow:

For a donation of £1, pupils will be allowed to substitute an item of their uniform for an item of yellow.

This could be a yellow t-shirt /trainers /socks or a jumper.

The SOSL council will run a cake sale:

Please bring some change to contribute and buy a cake.
