GHC Creative Challenge

We are going to be setting a fun weekly ‘Creative Challenge’ using social media. A new word or short phrase will be issued every week on a Thursday. The fun challenge is for pupils to interpret this in their own way – explore, create and capture the context!

An example will be provided. Pupils could have a go at doing something similar to the example or create something differ-ent! The creation does not have to be unique – pupils are more than welcome to get ideas from the internet or inspira-tion from other people.

We want as many people to join in with this optional creative activity as possible – students, teachers and parents/carers/family members! Setting time aside to be creative can have such a positive impact and be very enjoyable.

All creations should be shared with the Garth Hill Community on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #GHCcreativechallenge to take part. We hope to be able to see and celebrate everyone’s achievements.

This is not compulsory, but we are hoping that as many people as possible in our Garth Hill Community get involved and share the wonderful things they have created whilst at home and not in school.

In order to take part here are the official Garth Hill College social media details:

  • Facebook @GarthHillColl (https://www.facebook.com/GarthHillColl/)
  • Instagram garthhillcollege_official (https://www.instagram.com/garthhillcollege_official/)
  • Twitter @GarthHillColl (https://twitter.com/GarthHillColl)

The ‘Weekly Creative Challenge’ will be set on a Thursday morning on the social media platforms and you can share creations at any point that week – up until the Wednesday evening.

A new word or short phrase will be issued every week. Your fun challenge is to interpret this in your own way – explore, create and capture the context! An example will be provided. You could have a go at doing something similar to the ex-ample or create something different! The only limit is your own imagination!

Your creation does not have to be unique – you are more than welcome to get ideas from the internet or inspiration from other people! We want as many people to join in with this optional creative activity as possible – students, teachers and parents/carers/family members! Setting time aside to be creative can have such a positive impact and be very enjoyable.

Share your creation with the Garth Hill Community on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #GHCcreativechallenge.

We are really excited to see what amazing creations our Garth Hill College community can produce!

#GHCcreativechallenge 1 - 'Sunset'

Mrs Walters' family all painted their own sunsets. You could have a go at painting a sunset of your own or interpret this in a different way or use a different medium - it is up to you! Have fun and we look forward to seeing everyone's creations!
