Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years.
Congratulations to all our students on their achievements. We must not forget the disruption to their education over the last few years and that most were sitting public examinations for the very first time. This year also sees the return to pre-pandemic grading. We wish all our students the very best for the future as they go on to the next stage in their lives. Staff and parents must also be congratulated. Well done to everyone concerned.
Keith Grainger, Principal, Garth Hill College
"We are absolutely delighted for our students and hail them on their success, particularly as the last two years have been so disrupted and many were sitting public examinations for the very first time. Congratulations to everyone involved - students, staff and parents. We are especially proud of our students and what they have achieved, and we wish them all the very best for the next stage of their lives."
Nick Huskinson, Assistant Principal
The Sixth Form leadership team are extremely proud of how the cohort of 2022-2023 have conducted themselves and worked over the past 2 years. The students have come through a challenging time in their education thus far and have shown real determination and a great work ethic towards their Post-16 studies. We wish them all the very best in their future destinations and challenge them to continue to improve themselves in whatever they choose to do after their Garth Hill journey.
