A Level History
Examination Board - Edexcel
A Level History is a demanding A level qualification that also acts as a strong facilitating subject for application to university, including, importantly, Russell Group Universities. As a course, it provides students with opportunities to develop sophisticated analytical skills and methods of argument and reason. Students learn how to present arguments and how to support and strengthen judgements made through the precise deployment of supporting evidence. The qualification is examined through a mixture of source analysis, historical interpretations, essay writing and an independent extended essay. For further guidance, please see below.
