'A' Level Biology

An A-Level in Biology will allow you to develop relevant practical skills alongside essential knowledge and understanding of a range of biological concepts and scientific methods. Biological mathematics and problem-solving skills are fully integrated into teaching and learning.

What do I need to study A Level Biology?

We recommend the following:

  • Grade 6-6 in Combined Science (Higher Tier)
  • Grade 6s in Separate Science (Biology)
  • A grade 5 in GCSE English and grade 6 in Maths

Where can A Level Biology take me?

If you are considering university, this course can lead you to study into programs such as: medicine, nutrition, speech therapy, biology, environmental science, animal science, genetics, nursing, midwifery, and sports science and vet/vet nursing to name but a few.

If you are considering apprenticeships, there are several large companies who look A Level Biology. They include: Allergan, AstraZeneca, GSK, Pfizer, Rolls-Royce, and Unilever.
